LEARNING TO SWIM IS ESSENTIAL. 

 

But sadly in Montserrat, swim lessons conducted in a controlled and safe environment were not available. That is until Emmy took it upon herself to become an American Red Cross certified Water Safety and Swim Instructor! After training and teaching in the States, she brought her experience back to Montserrat and has been helping island residents to learn this important skill for the past 5 years, from infants to adults. 

 

Future divers...maybe!  

Montserrat's first Olympic swimmer...you never know!

 

But more importantly making sure people are safe, competent and comfortable around the water.
